Nora Cuevas

Program Director/Domestic Violence Advocate

I was born and raised in Central Valley, I have been volunteering my time working with the Fresno police Chaplaincy for 12 years I am a believer, a mother, daughter, sister and aunt. I graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a Bachelors in  Early Child Development. I was a teacher for 18 years before I became a Community Service Officer for the Parlier Police Department and Selma Police Department. I have always been very passionate about volunteering and helping those in need. I have always been very passionate about the safety and well-being within my community and surrounding areas .  I have seen first hand the need and urgency to care, educate and bringing awareness of violence with in adults, youth and children in all aspects, to provide them with  education, mentorship and help guide them during this already difficult journey that they are living . Helping those that are victims, survivors, at risk and those wanting a different lifestyle.  I strongly believe in meeting people where they are at, and I strive to be able to advocate for them and their families.
